A few water drops did land on Damien, but they just fizzed and turned into steam without him even noticing. “I’m not against trying, love. I would love to have a baby with you. Not that I don’t love Lily with all my heart. But, she isn’t ours, y’know? We didn’t create her.” Damien looked up at Gabe as he dried off, waiting for his reply.

Damien pouted, nibbling at the offered strawberry. He sucked on it suggestively. “Mmm…” He purred, scooching closer to Gabe. “If you wanna swim, go for it. I don’t mind watching.” He winked playfully.

“of course you dont…” the vampire mumbled, sliding away from damien and getting up. he turned his back to him, giving him a little show as he stripped down to his boxers. 

“sure you wouldnt want to join me?” gabe asked, sauntering towards the water, and wading in, glancing over his shoulder one last time at damien before diving under the water, and swimming out into the middle of the lake, before his head popped up again. 

he floated on his back staring up at the stars, and trying to cool his flaming cheeks. he could only flirt like that and take so much teasing before even his cool cheeks started to heat. 

“Damien? if we ever had the chance again, do you think you would want to try for a child again?” he asked, treading water closer to the beach now. 

Damien rolled onto his stomach, propping himself up on his elbows and watched Gabriel. He smiled, somewhat jealous of his lover’s ability to swim unaffected by the water. He quirked a brow at the question. “I… I guess,” he answered thoughtfully. “Why? Just curious.” He thought about the idea some more, remaining quiet for some time. “I just don’t want to see you hurt again… And if something happened… Gabe, I don’t think I could stand to lose another child…” He said softly.
